I AM SOBBING

The first song we wrote as a group was from the ground up. I think I started playing a beat and he [Terry] started a guitar riff and he [Tim] came in on the bass and then Amy started coming in on the piano and it was the first time that Amy had ever written in a situation like that. I think it gave her the confidence that it could be done and us the confidence that we could all work together.

Amy Lee’s growl in Bring Me To Life (live in Paris) on the Anywhere But Home DVD.

I used to wear corsets a lot more when I wasn’t as confident on stage. It’s silly, it’s like “okay yeah you’re goth” but it really wasn’t all about that. Part of it just makes me feel like you’re about to ride a roller coaster and you’re strapped in and you’re not gonna fall out.
